Darlington Community Foundation, organized October 2020 by Genesis Healthcare FQHC Inc., is an independent, tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
OUR SERVICE AREA
The Foundation serves Darlington County and the Olanta area located in the Pee Dee Region of South Carolina.

ABOUT OUR DIRECTOR
Patsy Yarborough Sawyer is married to Thomas C. Sawyer, Jr. They reside in Darlington, SC and are the parents of adult twin daughters, Nikki and Nicole Sawyer, who reside in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Mrs. Sawyer and her husband are both members of the historic Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Darlington, SC. Mrs. Sawyer has a Masters in Human Resources Training & Development from Webster University and a Bachelors in Human Resources Management w/concentration in Social Welfare from Coker College.

Mrs. Sawyer's past work experience includes Director, Harvest Hope Food Bank,
Pee Dee Branch; Director, Communities-in-Schools, Florence County; Executive Director, Pee Dee Education Foundation, Florence; Rape Crisis Coordinator/Counselor, Pee Dee Coalition, Florence and Darlington; and Personnel/EEO/MBE Officer, Apac-Carolina, Inc, Darlington.Presently, Mrs. Sawyer is a member of the Board of Commissioners for Darlington County Community Action Agency where she represents low income individuals and families in Darlington.Mrs. Sawyer enjoys reading, traveling, and helping youth to succeed. Her motto is The Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.
